Welcome to the technical support hub for BX3 Side X Side. We design our street legal kits for straightforward integration with factory wiring.
Converting your off-road machine for public roads requires basic mechanical skills. You will need standard garage tools to remove body panels. Understanding your vehicle's electrical layout prevents blown fuses.
We recommend disconnecting the negative battery terminal before starting any wiring project. This keeps you safe while working on your UTV road legal kit. A clean workspace ensures a smooth installation process. Always read the entire installation instructions before proceeding.
Mounting your turn signals is the first step. Passing a local inspection requires specific items outside of basic blinkers.
You might need to add other items to your side-by-side to be legal in your jurisdiction. Adding Department of Transportation-approved tires, rear view mirrors or an emergency brake system may be required. Check your local state or county laws.

Certain states mandate a glass windshield with a manual wiper. Check local county laws before booking an inspection with the highway patrol or other inspection stations.
We stand behind our wire harnesses. The standard one-year warranty covers manufacturer defects. If a relay fails due to a manufacturing issue, we replace it.
The warranty requires proper installation techniques. Damage caused by improper wire routing is not covered. Review the PDF guides below to begin work on your vehicle.

Watch our installation video for the Yamaha Rmax 2021+ street legal kit # YA1-SLK-*, where we provide comprehensive street legal instructions. This guide is tailored to assist you with UTV installation, ensuring your vehicle meets all legal requirements, similar to our Polaris street legal kit.
The horn button on the end of the turn signal selector will glow blue if there is power to the turn signal system. If not, check the 10 amp inline fuse near the control box first.
Accent lighting is cosmetic. State inspectors look for functional amber front signals and red rear blinkers.
Most customers complete the wiring process in two-four hours. Taking off the plastic body panels takes the most time.
Your factory stator generates enough power to run our lighting systems. LED components draw minimal amperage. You do not need an auxiliary battery setup. Ensure your main battery is fully charged before testing the new lights.
Manufacturers place accessory plugs and terminal posts in different locations. Consult your owner's manual to find the exact spot. It usually sits under the hood or under the dashboard.
We design our components specifically for UTV/side by side off-road vehicles. Golf carts operate on different voltage systems. Do not attempt to wire these harnesses into a standard golf cart battery bank.
